Empty, clean and disconnect an appliance before pickup. The hauling crew should not arrive to a refrigerator full of food, a washer connected to water or a dryer still attached to a gas line.
Preparation checklist
- Remove food, clothing and loose parts.
- Defrost freezers early enough to drain and dry.
- Have qualified help disconnect gas, hardwired power or plumbing when needed.
- Tape or secure doors only after the appliance is empty and dry.
- Clear the complete dolly route to the outside.
Tell the crew about stairs, tight turns and raised thresholds. Do not tip or move a heavy appliance without appropriate equipment and help.
For service details, see Appliance Hauling, or call (228) 444-6655 to discuss the load.
