Sort concrete and brick away from household junk before pickup. Dense masonry can reach a trailer’s weight limit while occupying far less space than furniture or boxes.
Keep the material visible
- Place concrete, brick and pavers in separate, clearly identified piles.
- Remove soil, wood, plastic and trash where practical.
- Tell the crew whether pieces are loose or still attached to a structure.
- Do not break material further unless you have the right equipment and safe work plan.
Questions to answer
How far is the pile from vehicle access? Are steps, slopes or soft ground involved? Are any pieces reinforced with metal? Those details affect labor and loading.
